The Vanquish name returned in 2012 as the Vanquish (AM310), a 5.9L naturally aspirated V12 with 565 hp, a bonded aluminium VH architecture and carbon-fibre body panels. It replaced the DBS as Aston's flagship GT, launched with a six-speed Touchtronic 2 automatic. It was the last of the lineage with a naturally aspirated V12 and ahead of the later 2015 facelift.
It is among the last great naturally aspirated V12 grand tourers, with a distinctive engine note and Ian Callum-influenced styling that has aged well. Its carbon-fibre construction and hand-built character, coupled with a relatively short production run, give it lasting appeal as a modern classic.
